The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cleveland Browns 27-6 at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on Sunday, November 1, 2026, in Week 8 of the NFL season. Jaylen Warren ran for 143 yards and a touchdown on his 28th birthday, and Pittsburgh held Cleveland out of the end zone for the first time this season. The Steelers improved to 6-2 and moved into first place in the AFC North. The Browns fell to 5-3.

A home streak tied to a record

The win was Pittsburgh's 23rd straight regular-season home win over Cleveland, tying the NFL record for consecutive home victories over one opponent. Cleveland has not won a regular-season game in Pittsburgh since 2003.

Pittsburgh led 20-6 at halftime. Rico Dowdle added a rushing touchdown, and tight end Pat Freiermuth scored on a 1-yard plunge on the penultimate play of the first half. Cleveland scored only on two Andre Szmyt field goals, both in the second quarter, and Pittsburgh went into halftime in control of the game and the division race.

Warren carries the offense

Warren ran 17 times for 143 yards, including a 51-yard run. Aaron Rodgers finished 13 of 25 for 172 yards with an interception, and his best throw helped finish the scoring early in the third quarter. A 58-yard catch by 6-foot-7 tight end Darnell Washington set up Warren's 1-yard touchdown dive, which made it 27-6. Neither team scored again.

Cleveland cannot finish drives

Deshaun Watson finished 27 of 39 for 324 yards for Cleveland and was sacked eight times. Harold Fannin Jr. caught 10 passes for 154 yards, but the Browns never turned those yards into a touchdown. Eight sacks kept breaking up Cleveland drives, and the two field goals were all the offense produced on a day when Pittsburgh's defense owned the line of scrimmage after halftime.

By the quarters

Pittsburgh scored seven points in the first quarter and 13 in the second to build the halftime lead. Cleveland scored all six of its points in the second quarter. Pittsburgh added seven more in the third quarter on the Warren touchdown and neither team scored in the fourth, leaving the final line at 27 points for Pittsburgh and six for Cleveland.

What comes next

Pittsburgh is on its bye in Week 9 and visits Cincinnati on November 15, still in first place in the AFC North. Cleveland visits New Orleans next Sunday at 5-3, with its long losing run in Pittsburgh extended by one more year.
