Without its star runner

Star Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy was out with a shoulder injury. Sophomore Shekai Mills-Knight stepped in and rushed for a career-high 71 yards and a 1-yard touchdown.

The conference marks were agreed in both recaps used for this report. Ole Miss is 4-2 in the SEC and Auburn is 2-4 in the SEC.

Quarter scores show the late break. Auburn scored 0, 9, 6 and 0 by quarter. Ole Miss scored 0, 14, 10 and 21, with its 21 points in the fourth quarter turning a close third quarter game into a 30-point final margin.
