A documentary about Elizabeth Holmes is on top of the North American box office, by about $200,000, and nobody will know for sure until Monday. Studio estimates on Sunday put You Can See Everything at $10.6 million for Halloween weekend, in its third weekend in theatres. Clayface, the DC film from Warner Bros., was estimated at $10.4 million in its second weekend.

The gap is small enough to flip. Warner Bros. was calling Clayface the number one film on its own tally, while other studio counts had the documentary ahead by $200,000 to half a million, Deadline reporting cited in weekend coverage said. Clayface won Halloween itself, taking $4.2 million on Saturday against $3.6 million for the documentary. Friday and Sunday went to the documentary.

A slow weekend, with a strange leader

Halloween fell on a Saturday this year, and families had other plans. The full North American weekend was estimated at $55.7 million in one Rentrak tally, down 42.1 percent from the weekend before and up 4.2 percent from the same weekend in 2025. Other tallies put the weekend total a little higher, under $63 million. Either way, it ranked among the lowest weekends of the year.

That is what makes the leader stand out. You Can See Everything, directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim for A24, follows Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes and her partner Billy Evans before Holmes began her prison sentence. It played in 3,242 theatres this weekend and has now taken about $63.9 million in North America. The Wrap reported that the total already makes it the sixth highest grossing documentary in United States and Canada history. If the estimates hold, this is also its first weekend at number one, in week three.

Clayface played in more theatres, 3,478, and fell 57 percent from its opening weekend. It stands at about $44.1 million at home and $83 million worldwide after 10 days. It did win the worldwide weekend, at $22.8 million. The documentary has barely opened outside North America.

Laika's animated film Wildwood was third with $7.5 million, according to the Associated Press summary of studio estimates.

What happens next

Final ticket numbers land on Monday, and they will settle the number one spot. Next weekend gets busy fast. Warner Bros. opens its animated Dr. Seuss film The Cat in the Hat, while Godzilla Minus Zero from GKids and Ramayana from Sony and DNEG take large format screens. A documentary leading the chart, even by a whisker, will be a hard act to follow.
