KATSEYE postponed its concert at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Tuesday night, Nov. 3, announcing on the day of the show that member Megan Skiendiel is unwell and unable to perform. The group had been scheduled to take the stage at 8 p.m. as part of its Wildworld Tour, and the venue, through 313 Presents, confirmed in its own statement that the performance would not take place as scheduled.

The announcement reached fans who had already traveled to downtown Detroit for the show. Men's Journal reported the postponement landed just minutes before the group was set to take the stage. Sports Chosun reported Megan was unable to attend soundcheck earlier in the day because of her health, and the main performance was then postponed as well.

What the group told fans

"We are so sorry to share that tonight's show at Little Caesars Arena has been postponed due to illness," the group said in a post on its Instagram Stories. "Unfortunately, Megan is unwell and unable to perform tonight, and we want to make sure she has the time she needs to rest and recover."

The statement went on to thank fans for traveling and making plans for the night. "We know so many of you have traveled, made plans, and been looking forward to tonight. We are incredibly disappointed that we won't get to see you, and we're truly sorry for the inconvenience," it said. Fans already at the arena were advised to follow instructions from venue staff.

Tickets and the next stops

No new date for the Detroit show has been announced. Ticket holders do not need to buy again: existing tickets will be honored for the replacement date once it is set, and fans can expect an email with more information, according to the venue statement reported by Men's Journal.

Detroit is one stop on the group's North American tour. The tour notice lists KATSEYE at Chicago's United Center on Thursday, Nov. 5, and at Minneapolis' Target Center on Saturday, Nov. 7. The Detroit notice does not say whether those shows will be affected, and fans heading to Chicago or Minneapolis should check their venue listing before traveling.

The group behind the show

KATSEYE is a six member global pop girl group based in Los Angeles. The group formed through a partnership between HYBE and Geffen Records and came together on the 2023 reality competition series The Debut: Dream Academy. Its shows mix Western pop with the sharp choreography associated with K-pop, a style that has built the group a large young audience in the United States.

For Detroit fans, the wait now is for a new date. The group closed its message by promising to see fans soon, and the arena has told ticket holders to watch for the rescheduling email.
